Italian ski resorts have a charm and a life of their own. Skiing in Italy is packed with special experiences that will provide you with unforgettable memories. We recommend you visit the great resorts in The Val d' Suza. Visiting Italy is unique and traveling within Italy is a remarkable experience.

Often, skiing in one part of Italy, the Aosta Valley for example where French is a main language, and skiing in the Sud Tirol, where German is prominent, is like skiing in two different countries. The food too varies along with regional languages and cultures, as do the country's delicious wines. One aspect that does not change however is Italy's innate friendliness, and the easy- does - it attitude towards life's trials and tribulations. That, and a ski holiday mentality make for a winning combination.

Lest we forget, Italy is also about great skiing. Now some may be surprised at this, but make no mistake, this country has as much on slope action on offer as any in Europe.

I just did not want to leave Courmayer, 2 weeks passed so quickly. What a beautiful, romantic, enchanting traditional old town. We stayed at a small hotel called the Meuble Laurent, everyone was so hospitable. The riding was terrific, while the resort is not huge it is large enough to keep you more than busy. On the Chamonix side there are great steep fast tree lined trails, while the upper areas offer wide open cruising trails, there are good tight treed sections to be found and lots of areas which are fun in fresh powder. You can even store your board at the top of the cable car at Plan Checrouit making the transit from the town to the slopes easy. The food was outstanding, I have never eaten so well, it was out of this world, with the cafes and restaurants in town and the restaurants dotted across the resort it's hard to stop eating! The night scene is relatively quiet but after an enormous dinner and a few vinos who wants to go out?
