AVERAGE RATING
Besides Western style hotels and pensions, a variety of uniquely Japanese style accommodations can be found in Japan, such as ryokan and minshuku. Most of Japan's major cities offer efficient public transportation networks, and are connected with each other by the shinkansen, the Japanese bullet train. The Japanese cuisine is one of Japan's greatest attractions. A great variety of Japanese cuisine and food from around the world can be enjoyed in Japan. |
Hokkaido, Sahoro Ski Lodge

| This is a great hotel for skiers. The ski and boot storage / maintainance facilities are excellent and with it being ski in / ski out it's in an excellent position. There are Japanese hot-tubs to unwind in and rooms are a good size, always immaculate. Food is good with Japanese food available or if you want 'home' food it's 'western style' which sometimes can be an interesting take on a dish you'd normally eat at home. The hotel is surrounding by lush fir trees and there's always loads of snow making it feel like a real winter-wonderland. We found a bar with a log-fire to relax which was lovely. Highly recommended! |
